OUR APPROACH

We invest in and grow companies that are largely business-to-business operations. Where the group can offer differentiated expertise it will provide services, but it is otherwise focused on manufacturing, developing and distributing industrial mineral products that are beyond commodities and have independent intellectual property as brand identity.

Erakis provides centralised support services to its subsidiaries, including Finance, Administration, IT, Supply Chain, HR services, Health & Safety, Environmental and Compliance, Asset Performance, Quality and Continuous Improvement (LEAN).

Blastrite is a leading manufacturer and distributor of granular abrasives.

Blastrite has two mineral processing facilities in South Africa as well as sales and distribution infrastructure throughout Africa, the Middle East, SE Asia, the USA and Europe, all of which supply the petrochemical, shipping, construction, and mining industries with internationally approved and certified loose abrasives.

Minrite has three plants (two in the Western Cape and one in KwaZulu Natal) that produce heavy mineral sands products and concentrates, including Zircon, Rutile, Ilmenite, Garnet and Monazite.

The company’s in-house regulatory team also provides support to Group and third-party mining companies with prospecting and mining right applications, EIA/EMPs, water use licence applications, registrations with the National Nuclear Regulator, municipal zoning applications, air emissions licences as well as in relation to the waste regulations.

Mandoval’s production facility is based in Alrode, Gauteng, South Africa with branches in Cape Town and Durban.
